Mayor at Home Event
On 26th March 2024, seven members of our School Council volunteered to attend a special 'Mayor at Home’ Event at the Alexandra Suite. Their role was to serve refreshments, including cake, sandwiches, and drinks, to the senior citizens of Swanley while engaging in conversation with them. It was also a valuable opportunity for students to engage with the senior members of our community, fostering the development of their social skills and empathy.
We are incredibly proud of our students’ exemplary behaviour during this event. Their outstanding manners and willingness to assist were evident and greatly appreciated by all in attendance. It was great to see our students embodying our ORCHARDS school values. The Mayor himself commended our students stating that they were all “amazing and a great help, they should be very proud of themselves”.
