Staff and students are celebrating at Orchards Academy after the students achieved the best results in the school’s history. The percentage of students that achieved 5 A*-C grades including English and Maths at GCSE level rose from 37% achieved in 2010 to 48%. Pupils achieving the expected progress from KS2–KS4 in Maths has risen by 9% and pupils achieving expected progress in English, has risen by 26%.
Since becoming part of The Kemnal Academies Trust, Orchards Academy has shown dramatic overall improvement more than doubling its GCSE results, increasing the percentage of students that leave with the grades required for further and higher education from 22% to 48%, an increase of 26%.
