Our girls played an away football fixture against St George's yesterday. Despite going 2-0 down, they showed great fight to get the game back to 2-2. Shout out to Dolly who scored both goals, including a volley from outside the box, to Belle who made an excellent save to keep it a draw, and to Freya for being an excellent captain from centre-back, communicating and directing her team mates. Congratulations to Esmae, Noelle and Ivy who all made their debuts. 🤩🤩 We conceded in the last minute resulting in a tough 3-2 loss but we are so proud of the girls battling spirit. ⚽️

Our Student Council visited the local foodbank today for an important session learning what a foodbank is, why they exist, and how vital their work is in the community. Inspired to help, the School Council have offered to create informative posters, organise a school-wide collection, and help with the foodbank's social media presence. On the way back to school, they stopped by Asda to locate the donation trolley location, and we made our first donation of pasta sauces! 🍝🥫 The School Council look forward to working on these tasks and helping to make a difference. 💫💛 #SchoolCouncil #CommunityAction #FoodbankSupport #StudentVoice #SchoolLife

It has been great to be able to deliver our anti-racism and xenophobia assemblies this week. Our job is not to tell students what to think but as educators we have a responsibility to give the students the facts so they can discuss complicated issues such as the UK's approach to refugees and asylum seekers. We want students to feel confident having this conversation but in an informed, balanced and empathetic way. We're looking forward to continue this work during the rest of the academic year and beyond. #AntiRacism #XenophobiaAwareness #EducationMatters

Proud of our Year 7 and Year Girls 8 Netball Team who played their debut match this week against a strong Year 8 team at DSTC! Our Team were fantastic and gave their best efforts all the way through. 🏐🎉

Our Year 11 Geographers tackled the November weather on the south coast yesterday to complete their GCSE fieldwork. 🌬️ From measuring pebble size to beach angles, they collected all their data exceptionally well, despite the wind trying to steal their equipment! Huge well done to all! 👏🗺️
