A huge thank you to West Kent Housing Association for hosting our Year 10 students at their latest careers fair! 🌟 It was fantastic to see our students engaging with local employers and exploring the incredible opportunities waiting for them after their time at Orchards. We also loved strengthening our community connections and can’t wait to take up AD Construction Group and WW Martin on their brilliant offers for school visits soon! 🤝✨

A group of our Year 8 and Year 9 students had a brilliant time last week taking part in the STEM Challenge Day at the University of Greenwich (Medway Campus). They were an absolute credit to the school showing exemplary behaviour and amazing enthusiasm for the STEM challenges that they had to complete. 🌟 Shoutout to Anastasia and Willow on winning the Diagnosis Challenge, and to Olly, Brian and Joseph who were runners up in the Robot and E-Fit Challenge. 🥇🥈

Attention Year 11s! We are running a series of revision sessions over the May Half-Term to help you feel prepared for your upcoming GCSEs. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible! Please note that although Monday is a bank holiday, the session will go ahead as planned. 📚

All at Orchards Academy were deeply saddened to hear of the the passing of The Revd. Michael Johnson, who led the Maths & Science departments at Swanley School between 1974 and 1983. Michael, who was closely involved in local Church work, lived in Swanley, and with his wife Barbara, played a key role in the Parents Association. Both their children, Michael Johnson KC and Rachel, attended Swanley School. Michael will be fondly remembered by all who knew him, and our thoughts are with Barbara, Michael, Rachel, and his wider family at this sad time.
