Year 8 Cultural Capital Trip
On Thursday 12th October, 87 Year 8 students visited Margate for a Cultural Capital Trip.
Students visited the Turner Contemporary Art Gallery where they engaged with interactive artworks and experiences, as well as testing their photography skills in a photography scavenge hunt and capturing the interesting art works they saw and experienced. Students also engaged in some beach games on the slightly dampened sandy coast with lots of teamwork and enjoyment during games of rounders, beach football and American football. The photography and fun continued onto the bright neon lights of the amusement arcades where students were able to capture the glowing sights in more photography challenges. Students were also treated to enjoy the arcade activities and some traditional fish and chips and ice cream.
Students on the trip represented the school with immaculate behaviour and thoroughly enjoyed the activities and trip to the coast.
