Personal Development

During both KS3 and KS4 students will expect to cover the following topics; Health and Wellbeing, Relationships, Staying safe, Career’s, Finance, Politics and Personal Skills & Attributes.  Students will develop the key skills and attributes to become well rounded, respectable members within the community, with the ability and understanding to positively contribute to society as well developing knowledge and strategies to cope with the rigours of the world. 

Students will develop and secure an understanding as to what personal skills are required to deal with a range of situations throughout life, to be good friends, family, partners and employees, with the ability to understand the values of how to be organised, responsible, considerate, hardworking, ambitious, resilient, determined and self-confident. Students will be able to recognise risk and danger and will have the appropriate knowledge to deal with such situations. 

Students will secure an understanding of the British values; tolerance, individual liberty, Democracy, rule of law and respect. Students will learn to value themselves through setting high expectations of their own capabilities, whilst raising aspirations and students' understanding of how to dream big and develop employable traits that will serve them in a modern society.
