Behaviour
Our Behaviour Curriculum supports our students in a multitude of ways to ensure behaviour within the school remains at a high standard.
Throughout the academic year the behaviour curriculum teaches students about behaviour and strategies to support them to self regulate and manage their actions. This is taught through assemblies, lessons, form time and drop down days. Support levels are used throughout the school as part of the behaviour curriculum and are outlined below:
Staff Action |
||
Support level 1 S1 |
Teacher gives the student a verbal/non verbal warning. “S1”. |
|
Support level 2 S2 |
A final verbal warning is issued by the teacher “S2”. Students will be ask to use their five point scale outside of the room to self-regulate. Upon re-entering the room, a seat change will be offered to further support the student. |
|
Support level 3 S3 |
Despite conversation, seat change and warnings, the student has not rectified their behaviour and now will be parked in the neighbouring room. A 20 minute after school detention will be issued. |
|
Support level 4 S4 |
Staff on call. Either a failed park or severe behaviour emergency. Student will be removed to Isolation for remainder of the lesson. 40 minute detention will be issued(Severe behaviour emergency behaviour team, IE next day). |
