Lest we Forget
With 2024 marking 80 years since D-Day and 105 years since the first Remembrance Day, students at Orchards took full opportunity to pay their respects to the soldiers of all worldwide conflicts.
All years groups took part in Remembrance community briefings and all observed a two minute silence as is tradition. Key Stage 3 students took part in a number of activities designed to give them an opportunity to reflect and give thanks to all members of the military community. Activities included designing poppies, writing diary entries and forming radio advertisements to keep the war morale high.
As always students at the school were incredibly respectful throughout the day and week and as a school we are proud to remember those who have fallen.
