School Election
During the week beginning 1st July 2024, students had the opportunity to participate in a school election. The election centred on four parties, each led by Year 10 students. These aspiring leaders presented their own manifestos, addressing key issues that affect the young people of Swanley.
It was a great experience as the voting coincided with the General Election week, adding an extra layer of excitement and engagement among the students. Despite strong competition, the Progressive Youth Alliance secured a landslide victory. Their pledge to champion youth services, advocate for increased investment in education, and foster a more inclusive school environment struck a chord with the electorate.
The enthusiasm and dedication shown by all the participating parties demonstrate the active citizenship and democratic spirit thriving within our school community. Congratulations to the Progressive Youth Alliance.
